I will be departing to Singapore for company training this Sunday. I don’t know if I’ll have internet access on the training site or not, so if I don’t reply to your e-mails for the next 5 days, this is the reason. I’ll be back to Jakarta on Friday evening
Seems I have to delay the release of version 1.7. Found a problem with speakers/headphone switching method in Vista, but it shouldn’t be too hard to overcome
Back to work, after quite a long holiday. Let’s see what I’ve accomplished:
- Finished Halo 3 on normal
- Upped XFMC to version 1.7, still a little bit more testing
- Redone the website
Not too bad…
This turns out to be a really bad day
. Just tried to start my car and there’s no indicator light, nothing, everything went dark, even the horn does not work. Call in the mechanic and he said it’s a broken alternator and possible battery too. Damn, this is going to cost me ![]()
Just ordered my XIM kit, shipping is supposed to be today or sunday at the latest. Add another 6-10 days to that before it finally got here, arrgh. I’m still waiting for the XFPS Pro too, but it should be here by monday. I can’t wait to try this. If this works well, I’ll give Gears of War another run on insane and those Locust horde will get the
kicking they deserve ![]()
Yep, the immensely hyped game finally arrived
. Currently on mission 6, playing Halo 3 on normal mode since legendary mode is so damn hard for me using the controller, my thumbs are getting twisted
. Maybe I’ll try it again once my XIM kit arrive
Internal Release
Change log:
- Enhancement to the change mode routine, should be much more reliable now (no more stalled mode change etc.)
- Flash tray icon feature when changing modes so you know that XFMC is doing it’s thing ![]()
Paypal finally supports receiving and sending money for users in Indonesia !!
. I’ve setup a donation page for XFMC located here. Please guys, donate if you think XFMC is worth it and you regularly use it ![]()
Internal Release
Version 1.6 build 50 is progressing quite nicely. The code for volume slider is already in place and working nicely under Vista. I’m still checking out the code to do the bass and treble slider properly
I have been looking for ways to use my keyboard and mouse to play games in the Xbox 360. I’m a long time PC FPS gamer and for me, there’s no better way to play this kind of game other than using the mouse and keyboard combo.
Recently a company called XCM released a product called the XFPS Pro which will allow the use of mouse and keyboard in Xbox 360. Unfortunately, users in many forums are reporting that it doesn’t work very well. Using it in conjunction with the Smart Joy Frag (SJF) for PS2 does improve it somewhat, but some game like Battlefield 2 is still unplayable with it.
Now comes the good news, a cool person who called him/herself with the nickname OBsIV decides to take a step further and create his/her own controller and software combination called the XIM (Xbox 360 Input Machine) that works with XFPS and share all this information to the world for free
. This controller, in conjunction with a PC, allow for unprecedented control over how the mouse and keyboard behave in Xbox360. The bonus part is, you can use any kind of mouse and keyboard that can work on your PC. Check out his site: http://obsiv.spaces.live.com/ to see the instruction and parts list, and also a video of him/her controlling an Xbox 360 game using a Wiimote.
